Tatiana Medina Rodriguez is an associate with the Firm’s litigation group. Tatiana’s practice is multi-faceted as she is involved in all aspects of the Firm’s litigation group. She conducts thorough research and drafts motions for summary judgment and final judgment for our Financial Services clients. She also analyzes and responds to emergent applications seeking various forms of relief, including those related to vacating final judgments and staying commercial and residential foreclosure sales. Additionally, Tatiana assists in subpoena compliance, including reviewing and responding to subpoenas served by governmental and non-governmental entities. Tatiana's keen analytical skills are particularly useful in navigating issues related to governmental investigations and AML compliance. As a result of her broad experience, Tatiana also focuses in general commercial and banking litigation cases, handling matters from the pleadings stage to trial preparation. Prior to joining the Firm, Tatiana was a Principal Appellate Court Attorney at the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department. In this role, she analyzed, reported on, and made recommendations on appeals and motions before the First Department in all areas of law, including commercial litigation, personal injury, and residential mortgage foreclosures. Prior to joining the First Department, she was an Appellate Court Attorney at the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department and a judicial extern for the Honorable Sheila Abdus-Salaam, New York State Court of Appeals. Tatiana earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Touro Law School and her B.A. cum laude from Siena College. During law school, Tatiana served as a research editor of the Touro Law Review and competed in the International Commercial Mediation Competition in France. Tatiana was also an Honors Program Scholar and received several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. In addition to her legal work, Tatiana is active in the New York State Bar Association where she currently serves as Chair Elect of the Corporate Counsel Section. She also serves as the Deputy Vice President of the Law School Division of the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program. In her free time, Tatiana enjoys attending musical theatre performances, taking ballroom dance lessons with her husband, and practicing yoga.
