Associate Attorney - Bank Financing

Zeichner Ellman & Krause LLP is a medium-sized prestigious mid-town banking law firm that fosters an environment where talented individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences can work in a collegial atmosphere. ZEK’s growing Banking and Real Estate Lending Practice is seeking an attorney with one to three years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in New York or passed the bar and awaiting admission
  • One to 3 years of experience as banking and lending associate

Responsibilities:

The role will include drafting documentation for bank and non-bank financial institutions and private lenders for transactions secured by real estate, various other types of personal property, as well as for non-performing remedial matters. The ideal candidate should have strong writing, organizational and analytical skills and is capable of running a transaction as part of the team.

Job Type: Full-time

License/Certification: NY Bar Admission or pending admission

Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000, commensurate with experience

Work Location: In person (with some remote flexibility)

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of commercial litigation experience

Responsibilities

The role will include preparation of pleadings and motions, depositions, court appearances, trial assistance, and direct client contact.
